Description
A test that measures sleep-related hormones like melatonin and cortisol to assess sleep patterns and identify underlying hormonal imbalances. It is used to diagnose sleep disorders, insomnia, and circadian rhythm disorders.
The Sleep Profile (Saliva) [ADL] is an immunology test that analyzes saliva samples using the ELISA method. A 5 ml saliva sample is required, collected in a designated kit (1 tube), with the collection ideally done between 12:00 midnight and 2:00 AM. Samples should be stored at 2–8 °C and must not be frozen, remaining stable for up to 7 days under proper conditions. This test measures clinical levels of melatonin and midnight cortisol to assess sleep-related hormone patterns. The turnaround time for results is approximately 3 weeks.
