What does each blood marker tell you?
Lipid Profile
A standard cholesterol panel covering total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL. It helps show whether your blood-fat pattern may increase cardiovascular risk.
Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)
ApoB is found on the main cholesterol-carrying particles that can contribute to plaque in artery walls. It can add information beyond LDL cholesterol alone, particularly in people with diabetes, high triglycerides or other cardiometabolic risk factors.
hs-CRP
High-sensitivity C-reactive protein measures very low levels of inflammation. It does not tell you the cause of inflammation, but it can be used with other information to refine cardiovascular risk.
HbA1c
HbA1c shows your average blood glucose over roughly the previous 2 to 3 months. It is commonly used to screen for or monitor prediabetes and diabetes, which are important cardiovascular risk factors.
Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)]
Lp(a) is a cholesterol-carrying particle whose level is largely inherited. High Lp(a) can increase long-term risk of heart disease and stroke even when a standard cholesterol result looks acceptable.
Homocysteine

ApoA1
